This notice explains how OH BOY! Games handles your personal data when you visit ohboygame.com, create an account, purchase the Game, or play it. OH BOY! Games is the data controller responsible for your personal data. Contact: info@ohboygame.com.

Personal data we collect

• Account data — email address, and, if you sign in with Google, your name and profile image supplied by Google.
• Purchase data — order and transaction identifiers, product purchased, purchase status and date. Card numbers are handled by Paddle and never reach our systems.
• Usage and device data — pages viewed, actions such as starting a game or signing in, approximate location, browser and device type, and similar analytics data collected via cookies.
• Support data — the content of any email you send us.

Game progress is stored in your browser and is not sent to us.

Why we use it

• To create and secure your account and grant access to the Game (contract).
• To process your purchase, issue receipts and handle refunds (contract, legal obligation).
• To provide customer support (contract, legitimate interests).
• To measure and improve the site and the Game (legitimate interests, consent where required).
• To prevent fraud and abuse and to meet tax and accounting obligations (legal obligation).

Who we share it with

• Paddle.com Market Ltd — our Merchant of Record and payment processor. Paddle receives your billing and transaction data to complete your purchase, issue invoices, handle refunds and remit sales tax and VAT, and acts as an independent controller for that data.
• Supabase — database, authentication and hosting of account and purchase records.
• Google — Google Sign-In (if you choose it) and Google Analytics for site measurement.
• Authorities — where required by law, or to establish or defend legal claims.

We do not sell your personal data or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

International transfers

Our providers may process data in the United States and the European Union. Where data leaves your region, transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

Retention

We keep account data for as long as your account exists. Purchase records are retained for up to 7 years to satisfy tax and accounting requirements. Analytics data is retained for up to 14 months.

Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to run checkout, and analytics cookies to understand how the site is used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser, though sign-in and checkout may not work without the necessary ones.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, port or restrict the use of your personal data, to object to processing, to withdraw consent, and to avoid discrimination for exercising these rights. To exercise any of them, email info@ohboygame.com. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

The Game is intended for players aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this notice; the date at the top shows the latest revision. Material changes will be highlighted on this page.
